 The PAC Smart PIN Mifare® Access Reader is a dual contactless Mifare® card and keypad reader designed specifically for high traffic areas, where medium to high security levels are specified.
The combination of Mifare technology and keypad PIN verification gives increased security by only granting
access to secure areas, once the user has successfully entered the correct PIN number into the reader keypad
after the Mifare® ID has been verified by the access control system. This reduces the risk of lost or stolen
cards that haven't been deleted from the access control system be used to gain entry into high security areas.
Concealed fixings allow the reader to be mounted directly on to a flush surface single gang UK back box,
providing a fast and simple solution to many site requirements.
The PAC Smart PIN Mifare® Access Reader is a low profile, robust epoxy filled unit that is built to withstand the
harshest of environments and operations. It can be installed in new sites or as an upgraded reader to existing
proximity access control systems.
The reader incorporates a red/green LED and buzzer that can be configured within the security system to
provide visual and audible feedback for confirmation on access control modes.
